Equal Opportunities/Disability Statement:
The Centre selects students without regard to race, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation. Age and disability are disregarded providing prospective students, having successfully auditioned, can demonstrate their capability to complete a physically demanding three year Dance Training Course or two/three year Dance Teacher Training Course. The Centre will endeavour to accommodate any student provided the employment opportunities are relevant to the individual concerned.
The Centre realises that any student who has a disability or learning difficulty may need special consideration or additional support in order to succeed within the course. We recognise these needs are individual and we therefore consult an Special Educational Needs teacher with many years experience in this field to liaise with tutors regarding delivery of the academic units of the D.D.I. and D.D.E. qualifications if required. However prospective students and their parents/guardians should note The Centre does not have a designated unit dealing with Special Educational Needs.
It may be the case that an individual would endanger his/her personal safety or that of other members of the class and so should be precluded from undertaking the course or particular activity on the grounds of health and safety.
Rochester Dance Junction can accommodate wheelchair access and has disabled toilet facilities.
