The Centre is one of South East London’s most innovative and vibrant performing arts establishments. We offer 12,000ft2 of work space combined with breathtaking views across London and our three year full time performance/dance teacher training course attracts students from all over Europe . The Centre is an Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing approved dance centre and is renowned for producing quality performers and dance teachers. The Centre is also proud of its reputation for providing some of the best Professional Development Programmes in the UK to its graduate students.

The founder and Principal of The Centre, Miss Karen King, is a distinguished teacher and examiner for the I.S.T.D. She is now delighted to offer children access to this prestigious and unique venue enabling them to enjoy the high calibre of training experienced by the full-time students. Our aim for The Junior Department is to provide a wide variety of dance disciplines in a welcoming and stimulating environment. Full participation will develop pupils confidence, self esteem and enjoyment of the arts. We will also provide regular examination sessions and performances giving pupils and their families full recognition of their achievements.

The establishment of The Junior Department will allow Miss King to fully realise her ambition to provide access to life long learning in dance.

Classes will be held on Saturdays and will be taught by professionals and qualified dance teachers (all of whom have been CRB checked) and will be relevant to all learners.
